All beaded designs originate from artisans on the Lakota tribe. Each symbol is inspired by stories from their culture, signifying traits valued by their people. The turtle represents a warrior's strength while the eagle feather signifies the value placed on children and how honor is earned.
After each bow tie is completed, the beading is constructed using traditional techniques passed down from generation to generation. No need to worry about the beads falling off as they are crafted to last (nearly) as long as Native American history itself.
